Engine maintenance and repair: Regular maintenance, cleaning, and repair of ship engines (diesel, steam, gas turbine, or electric motor). This may involve routine maintenance procedures such as oil changes, filter replacements, cleaning and calibration of fuel injectors.

Propulsion system repair: Maintenance and repair of ship propellers, shafts, shaft bearings, and other propulsion system components. This may include propeller cleaning and balancing, shaft alignment, and bearing replacement.

Steering system maintenance and repair: Regular maintenance and repair of ship rudders, steering actuators, and other steering system components. This may involve checking for hydraulic leaks, replacing hoses and sealing components, and lubricating the steering mechanism.

Deck equipment and crane maintenance and repair: Regular maintenance and repair of ship deck equipment and cranes. This may include maintenance of hydraulic systems, inspection and lubrication of cables and chains, and inspection and repair of cargo handling equipment.
